Food security in northern Canadian communities is at a particularly high risk due to the amplification of climate change and related ecological shifts specific to the Arctic. This paper addresses current limitations and gaps in knowledge along with the proposition of incorporating indigenous knowledge, the details unique to the indigenous culture that need to be understood and respected within these conversations, and the models developed to provide short and long-term food security. Read this paper to gain a comprehensive scope on the importance of managing Arctic fauna and food harvesting and consumption: https://dev.cakex.org/sites/default/files/GRID-Arendal_food.security.pdf
