There has recently been an increased occurrence of vector borne diseases spreading amongst temporal and arctic regions driven by global warming. As the arctic climate warms, the range of survival for parasites has expanded further into northern latitudes. Migratory caribou, which are a significant food source for many Arctic populations, have allowed for the transport of these parasites into these new environments. Read this paper to learn more about the spread of diseases carried by Helminth parasites by migratory caribou in the central Canadian Arctic due to warming of northern latitudes: https://nyaspubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/pdfdirect/10.1111/nyas.13950
