This paper serves as a call to action for modeling of relationships between climate change and disease transmission. Current prediction models of the shifts in arctic ecosystems based on the metabolic theory of ecology were analyzed in relation to climate change. Climate change has already altered host-parasite systems, and since climate change is happening on a rate greater than initially predicted, mitigation strategies for public health needs to be of concern. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1471492215000471
